Salomon August Andrée was born in Gränna1854 ina house situated opposite to the Grenna Museum where objects, archives and photographies from the expedition are a part of the world´s biggest collection of this historic event. Even if the expedition to the North Pole could be seen as a failure in a way, there is still much interest in the Arctic world. Still today, there are unanswered questions about what happened to Andrée, Strindberg and Fraenkel in the end.
In GrennaMuseum, you can also find a local historic exhibition about the county Gränna-Visingsö, where you can book a guided tour with several different options. They´re able to receive companies up to 70 people but you can also order a guided tour for a single person!
